Or have a booth set up? What are you doing? Or talk about past experiences and good times :)

Just enjoying the Stampede this year. Been working there for the last four years and I'm pretty sure it's time to actually enjoy the Stampede instead of bustin my ass for $9.00/hr. The people working at the Stampede are usually cool so there were some good times though.

I'm working at the stampede, not in a booth or anything though. I work for the IS department so you might see me wandering the grounds helping the staff with computer stuff. First time workin there this year but it seems like it will be fun times.

Man, haven't worked there in a while. Was once a head usher at the Grand Stand. That was years ago. But it was fun and everyone I worked with was great. I remember going to Nashville North after work and drinking followed by the casino. Good times.

$9? yikes - was it worth it? considering all the extra time and trouble just commuting there everday dealing with the rushes.

You kids are spoiled these days. When I worked at the Stampede while I was in highschool, I was paid $5.25/hr. The following year, I got a whole whoppin 50c raise to $5.75/hr. But it was definitely a fun experience despite the ugly red vest and white hat.

I worked there in 2000 when they first introduced the magic pass. Oh god was that ever horrible selling tickets all day while half the time the magic pass didn't work.

Ask me, how well does stuff like spray on tatoos, nail polish and stain removers sell at the stampede? There are some products that are $$$$ makers, are these any of them? I would think so?

12-14hour days is killer:thumbsdow

I worked there one season about 10 years ago selling ride tickets. It was okay, but I hated working evenings when the bugs came out and my booth would be infested with flying beetles. People would see me as they walk up to the booth and watch me stomp like a madman giving me the "WTF?!" look. That was the low point of the job. The high point was screwing Conklin and making those extra $20 running that old ticket scam. For those of you who ever worked the ride ticket booths, you should know what I'm talking about since that scam has been passed down to noobs year after year. That is, of course, if Conklin still uses the same ticket system as they did before. By now, I suspect you guys to be making an extra $35 perhaps.

Wow 9$ thats nuts, 2 years ago when i worked at the stampeed here in medicine hat at "Margarites mexican cantina" i only made minimum, like 5.95 or 6$ something along those lines, i worked 2 12 hour days then came back the day after for 3 hours to help her pack up. AND i got charged full price for food. 6.50 for a fricken taco is retarded. I made like $120.
