WTB: Cheap Car

A friend is looking for a cheap car to get back and forth to work and maybe the odd trip to Banff. Just about anything will do except a Tempo. He hates them. Must be reliable and in half decent shape. Kilometers are not that big a deal as long as it runs well and isn't completely rusted out. Would prefer a standard but autos will be considered. No trucks or SUV's either. Willing to pay up to $1000 or trade for my 1990 240SX parts car. If you have something that you want more than he's willing to spend, don't waste your time posting as he absolutely won't pay a cent more. If you have a $500 car and say you want $1000 for it, don't waste your time posting that either. Not in a hurry so I'm not just going to jump on a $h&*box for the sake of getting a car. Car must also be already registered in Alberta and located in Calgary. Post what you have and an asking price or pm me or call me at 246-1882.

i got a 90 mazda protege gt very good condition inside and out just rolled past 250 000k still runs very well aside form the tranny missing third gear (which makes it still drivable and i have drving camping four times since bought) new tranny would cost less than 500 to install i will sell you the car for 500 with panasonic deck and pioneer speakers. car is red

rust isnt too bad, mostly on the drivers door.

dent in drivers qtr panel.

hail damage.

as you can gather its not beautiful. runs and drives great. small power steering leak. needs to be topped up every few weeks

that is one thing that i honestly don't know... i bought it with something like 215000 on it, i was gonna do the belt at 275 if i kept it...
