if your budget allows it, spend it on a 325

powerwise the difference is noticeable
and standard in 325's are xenons, auto climate control, alloy wheels and some other misc. stuff..

The 320 is the bottom of the barrel. You can't get a cheaper BMW. While it does have an inline 6, it is wheezy. Even the 325 is slightly underpowered IMO.

2.2L 164 hp engine, semi decent i guess....in the same position i would however opt for the 325 at least

It is definitely not a fast car off the line, but it is great on the highway. I have had a few as loaners from bavaria. Very nice car.

Is it an auto?

If you get it, upgrade the rims and wheels and the handling will improve.

Testdrive a 320 and 325 back to back and see..maybe you'll think 320 is decent enough for around town driving.

It's not bad by any means, but it's noticeably slower then 325, and significantly slower then 330 :D. I usually get 320's as service loaners from Gallery.

The only thing I don't like is how skimpy the 320 is on standard features..but I guess after all it is a "bargain" BMW.

what kind of things does the 320 skimp out on for standard features ?^^^^

Get an E36 M3 instead. You'll like it more even though it's older.
