I've got all thirteen Neon Genesis Evangelion VHS tapes sitting in my house and I haven't watched them in about five years. Twelve are dubbed, I believe, and one is subtitled. They are all near mint, the cases corners have slight wear like any VHS case does, and the tapes all play totally fine.
I would rather use the shelf space for my old NES and Genesis games.
