Who else thinks this is the greatest strategy game? Haha i know it's old but I just picked the Gold edition (Age of Conquerors)!! brings back memories from Highschool. Regicide + Multiplayer :D

If you're a fan of Age of Empires, and if you have a decent computer, you're probably going to drool and love Age of Empires 3.

Click 'Press', then 'Screenshots Media.' They've got screenshots and video of gameplay. They've got the goods in terms of graphics (holy cow!) and I'm sure they've only improved on the award winning gampely.

AOE2 is a classic. Bettered only by C&C RA2/Yuri's revenge in my books (for classic older RTS games).

I've never played Age Of Empires.....but did play Warcraft 1/2 and Starcraft for many years.

I've recently purchased Warcraft III and I'm enjoying it (I know that it's been out for a few years now, but I'm old and don't get a much of a chance to play video games these days).

For those of you that have played both the Age of Empires series and the Warcraft/Starcraft games, would you say that I would enjoy Age of Empires if I had fun with Warcraft?

I love AoE, all of them...can't wait for 3.........Rise of Nations was also pretty cool, with nukes and all......I personally think all the of Age series are the only games I can stick with and enjoy....except for Roller Coaster Tycoon....

AoE was a classic because it required strategy to win, not just Mass upon mass troops (though that does always help ;) ) but there was always units to take out other units so you could countlessly counter your opponent and battles coudl take upwards of hours with very little movement.
