DVD-Video is MPEG-2, not MPEG-4. If you burn MPEG-4 video it must be in data mode and your DVD player must be MPEG-4 compatible.

Go to Videohelp.com (http://www.videohelp.com) for tuts on converting to MPEG-2.

use nero vision express to burn dvds...it encodes it for you as long as you burn a dvd-video onto a dvd disc

ok so i got a working version of visione xpress, but it still doesnt work, the burn process successfully completes, but the video wont play on any dvd player, and my computer wont even read it (my comp crashes when i try and explore the drive too) anyone know why?

maybe try tmpeg or something to manually 'make sure' that it's encoding to mpg-2

as well, do u have the mp4 codec? from what i know, you need the 'digital' version of nero to have the mp4 plugin

Also, does your DVD-player even support reading DVD-Rs?
