Engine Cut Off at Low RPM

I have a Jeep Grand Wagoneer 1987, and I did a number on the engine. The Jeep runs great, is in good condition, and drives like new, but I have a problem, maybe some of you may be able to help me out. The engine cuts off when the RPM gets low, specifically when I am turning the wheel while standing still, it will cut off, and whenever the RPM gets low, it feels like the engine wants to cut off. Any advice?

They have an idle stepper motor that controls the idle. If it is not functioning properly you may need to have it checked. It could also be that the idle itself is too low. Could be a simple idle adjustment.
