Hi, friends!

I'm a great Russian fan of Vitas' music. I discovered this old topic and decided to share some information about Vitas with everybody who is interested in his person. :)
Today Vitas is one of the most popular young singers in Russia, and day by day he increasingly wins the hearts of foreign people. There are a lot of Vitas' fan clubs in Germany, Israel, and, particularly, China and Taiwan. By the way, Vitas is not only a fantastic singer but also a very fascinating young man! :)
In June, Vitas visited Beijing, where he was invited as a guest for participating in the TV program devoted to the Russian culture and education. He sang two songs there - The Star and Opera 2.
If you are interested in Vitas' photos from this tour, welcome to these pages:

Recently he has removed two new clips. You can see some clip photos here:

If you have any more questions about Vitas, you may leave them here, and I'll be glad to answer them.

First time I heard him was back in Russia, he always dressed and looked so freaky. Sings good though but still freaks me the fuck out. I think I have his CD somewhere though.

Holy Anna! Novosibirsk eh? I lived there for 12 years...

Holy fucking vocal range batman!! The amount of air needed to hold those notes is crazy, he's gotta have lungs down into his legs

If anybody wanna listen to Vitas' songs, you may download them (free of charge) from Vitas’ nonofficial site designed by his fans. Here is a page with a nearly complete list of his songs:
http://vitasmp3.narod.ru/new/all.htm

All of them are very beautiful, particularly those with highest Vitas' vocal and play of voice, which I recommend you to download first (their title numbers follow the above list):

1. Ave Maria
24. The Birthday of My Death
28. Soul
29. Star
41. Autumn Leaf
50. Opera No.1 (Asian version)
53. Opera No. 2
62. Mime's Song
63. Somebody's Longing Is Crying
65. Devotion (no lyrics, only play of voice)
66. Prelude (with play of voice)
78. Smile!

Other of my favorite Vitas’ songs from this list are:

8. O, My God, how much I love!
27. Rain in Tbilisi
34. Friend from a Different Planet
60. Island of Sunk Ships
71. Blinded Artist

and from the list here:
http://vitasmp3.narod.ru/new/other.htm

16. In Memory of Caruso (in duet)
31. Crane's Cry (the latest Vitas' song)
37. My Swan
43. I Ask All Saints
45. Cherry Orchard

Listen and enjoy yourself. That's really beautiful!

I know an Olga from Novosibirsk...seriously. Wasn't that a secret submarine factory in WWII?

On topic: That guy is freaky. I'm scared of him. btw..aren't you fans violating his copyrights by posting his songs online?:p hehe

Crazy freaky voice, not my cup of tea.

But what's the point of the subtitle in that video? It's just sound like the Russian lyric but make no sense in Chinese. Just so everyone can sing along?

Don't be frightened of Vitas. In fact, this guy is very kind and not dangerous at all. :)
As for the violation of Vitas' copyrights, don't worry, everything is all right. Most of these songs were posted after the release of licensed ÑDs of Vitas and under the control of his producer. Moreover, the quality of the posted songs is worse than that of the licensed records, so the fans have no grounds to be nervous. :)

About the above Chinese video. This is famous Vitas' song "Opera No.2", with which he was first presented to the Russian spectator audience in 2000 and immediately won the thousands of hearts.

The new clip "Lucia Di Lammermoorr" (version of "The Diva Dance" from the movie "The Fifth Element") of Vitas has been uploaded at his official site. I think it will be interesting to real Vitas' fans. Here is the link for free-of-charge downloading of the clip:
http://vitas.com.ru/klip_eng.htm

In a few weeks, wait for another new clip "Crane's Cry" at Vitas' site. It promises to be still more original. :)

Could have sworn he was lip syncing. It doesn't seem natural for a voice that high to come out of a guy.

Pretty much what I was going to say.

I guess I'm impressed. His voice goes beyond "wow he's probably gay" to the point of "damn, that's high, respek"
