4 nights is way too long in Vegas..maybe it's just me, but I think a long weekend is enough time to do the whole Vegas thing.

I was there in February for 5 days and 4 nights. We just booked a package which was pretty decent. I think we booked it on one of the online through Expedia or Travelocity... I thought Vegas was fun, definitely a different experience :) I would definitely stay somewhere on the strip, what hotel you chose largely depends on your budget, what "theme" you are partial to and what location you prefer.

You have to eat at the Buffet in the Aladdin Hotel. Its downstairs and is supposed to be the best buffet in Vegas. TONS of food, they had little stations from all different countries which was really neat. Its super busy though... but definitely worth it!

Check out Signature Vacations. They usually have Sunday - Thursday packages.

if you stay anywhere on the strip you will have fun.... sahara for breakfast.... like $12. really good.... billagio buffet for dinner but not to often its like $40.00 american but worth everypenny, i was there for 10 days and was just perfect for me, lots to see and do while your not drinking free dinks in the casinos. also the westward ho. has 99 cent Heinikins 24 hrs... right across from the Riveara... just so you know

I go to Vegas twice a year, lots to do...

Find a package that suits your needs and compare. It's pretty easy to find a decent hotel on the strip as long as you do your research.

PM me for details...

I go to vegas once a year.

bargain bargain bargain, a lot of hotels will bargain on the price with you (+ free breakfast tickets etc) if you call them up early and tell them you can barely afford it. Given that the city thrives on tourism, hotels thrive on customers.. they would rather you sleep/gamble/eat at their hotel than a competitor's.

this worked at the mirage twice, and paris once.

have a good trip!

wtf?....apparently you don't know what you're doing....I go once or twice a year, usually for 4 days, and it's never long enough.

depends what your goals are :P....I'm assuing you want to do the whole tourist thing, so you'll have to be on or very near the strip. The package deals are generally better than if you book them separatly (doesn't hurt to look around tho)....As far as good places to stay, I've personally stayed at the MGM, Excalibur, Luxor, Treasure Island, and Belagio....each one has its own pros and cons....the only one I would never stay at again is the excalibur....it's seriously ghetto. The MGM was great - awesome casino and buffet, tiny rooms (pretty much all rooms on the strip are tiny unless you're willing to shell out the big bucks). I'd say Treasure Island had the best rooms (for the price) of all of them. The room at treasure island was basically identical to the one at bellagio, but half the price :P. Harrah's has the best buffet on the strip, make sure to check it out. If you're going to any shows, I highly recommend checking out 'O' at belagio (cirque du soliel) it's an awesome show....all of the cirque shows are really good except for zumanity. If you don't mind staying a little bit off the strip, there's a really good hotel called 'The Hawthorn Suites at Desert Rose'.....its a half-block off the strip, just behind the tropicana (walking distance to MGM and the monorail). Its not right on the strip, but for half the price you can get a 3-room suite....it's awesome. It doesn't have a buffet or casino, but it doesn't need to, you'll spend all your time on the strip anyways :P

Yeah, it was a pretty decent outlet. We also went out to Primm, but it wasn't too great. There was Burberry and Coach, but that was about it. And the Coach Store near Freemont was much nicer. We hung out at Fashion Show Mall a little bit,had some good stores in there

umm i've stayed at Bellagio (2x), Caesars Palace (2x), Mirage, Treasure Island, MGM, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Paris..and I've stayed at the Venetian for a night..

Personally I find MGM not that great and kinda expensive (whenver I check prices for it) Sometimes Treasure Island has some really good deals.

Unless you have kids, I don't think Disneyland is worth going to, unless you've never been there before (then it's one of those places to check out just cause), but I find Universal Studios much more interesting and fun! Both places are pretty $$$$$.

The Grove is alright, kinda cool..kinda like Lincoln Road in South Beach, but with not as nice stores and restaurants.

Check out Rodeo, and the Beverly Hills (and surrounding) area in general - lotsa shops and restaurants to eat at.

If you had more time i'd take the drive up to Newport Beach..it's ~45 mins. Pretty nice. haha

Las Vegas in the Summer time is disgustingly hot day/night. Afterall you are in the middle of the desert.

http://weather.canoe.ca/Weather/CityLasVegasNV.html

I have went there for New Years 4 times in the past 5 years. We have just called ahead and booked directly with the hotels (we live about 5 hours away in Cali, so we just drive). I recommend the Bellagio as it is gorgeous. The Paris is alright as well. I don't know what summer rates are like but I'm sure they aren't as expensive as New Year rates. And while you are there you should check out Zumanity at New York New York, it seems like helluva show

Just got back 2 weeks ago. Went with 18 guys for a stag, all had a blast. I stayed at the MGM. I liked it. Wynn is a pretty nice hotel too. Really Classy but almost at one end of the strip. Hit up Jaguar strip club (300 girls) working at the same time!

Hit up Cheetahs stirpclub too. Hit the hardrock hotel pool (if you can) and rent an exotic. There's 3 days right there :) Im going again in 2 weeks for a week. Third year in a row. Vegas just has so much shit to do. Last year rented an S2000 for 5 hours - 129$$ Awesome fun

G/L and hit the Bellagio weekend Brunch ... Sunday I think.

I just got back from Vegas a week ago.

It ruled. I was there for 8 days.. first time I went, I stayed at Travelodge, which conveniently is located on the Strip accross from Boardwalk, close to New York & MGM. $60/night US and a big room, 2 double beds, bathroom has showere/toilet in closed room sink w/ mirror on the outside.

I just stayed at Ballys the last trip, it was pretty good too but double the price.

I could have stayed longer since I wasn't bored in the least but it gets expensive, we hit up night clubs every night and then went to the pool through the day. We went shopping at the outlet mall a bit south of the main strip one day and yes, this time of year it is COOKING hot day and night. We stayed inside the rest of the time because its air conditioned.

22 hours to drive down at most including stops for gas & food - this is in a rental with 3 other ppl.

If it was just me and my car, 18hours easily. if i could drive 18hours straight.

Otherwise Vegas is awesome, if you're single, hitup Studio 54. There's signs all over in MGM Grand about the "Studio Walk".

Another wicked club is Voodoo on top of the Rio, 65th floor and you see Las Vegas at night time, its an incredible view.

Another Ok club is Ice, Risque isn't as fabulous but it was a great time, really friendly ladies (if ya know what i mean) its in Paris.

With a drive into LAX, thats 8 hours of driving and spends a day, you won't get everything in that you want even if you dont sleep. I didnt even see the water show at Bellagio and I was right close to it ..

I hear that Imperial Palace has a very inexpensive buffet as well..

saw it...wouldn't recommend it.....if you go into it expecting a lame almost-caberet style cock-tease type show, then it'd probably be ok.....but if you go into it expecting a cirque du soleil show you will be very disappointed. There's alot better stuff to spend your money on in vegas than a lame almost-cock-tease show :P
