I need to go and grab the spare motor and tranny for my car from the previous owners mechanic but for the life of me I cannot figure out how i would load it or unload it from my truck without a forklift. The tranny is a hundredish pounds (I think) and i cant imagine how much the motor weighs. The only other way i could think was get like 4 of my buddies to help me but i highly doubt and lazy ass 16 year old (punks) wanna help. Any other possible ideas?
Oh yea its a 4cyl. ka24e from a 1989 240sx and 5 speed tranny

If you're picking it up from the mechanic, use the engine hoist. Other wise a ka245e does not weigh that much, two guys could handle it (you and the mechanic) or three guys with great ease.

Buy an engine hoist or get a chain block and tackle and use the rafters in your garage.

Last time I had to load a little D16 engine in my van and we just tied it to a dolly and made a little ramp and dollied it up.

when i took my motor out, 2 of us could carry it (CA18)
I'd imagine they are the same wieght so if you can find 1 or 2 other guys it would be easy.
have you thought of a pipe over the shoulders with a strap thing?

take the tranny off if two of your 100 pound skinnies can't lift the engine.... and if you still can't lift it... kill yourself. ;)

Be creative. Do you have to ask every question that comes to mind? You are starting to sound really retarted. (This is me being nice)

Ask the mechanic for fucks sake.

Well i suppose thats what i get for thinking these things were reallly heavy. If me and my friend are to weak to lift an engine then i guess i shoudlnt be driving. But yea i am gunna try this out thanks for the help.

When we removed some of the stone fountains from my house, we made a dolly out of thick ass plywood, 4 regular wheels that could turn in all directions, and 4 screws/wheel and lots of bungee cord. We then made a small ramp and wheeled it (a couple hundred pounds of LARGE cement fixtures) over, and loaded it right into the back of a van, w/ smooth old blankets covering the floor to make sliding that shit in/out easier.

Try something like that?

Good point. I agree. If cars are a serious hobby and you're pulling engines. Make the investment.
