My choice for best of all time(that ive seen) is The Shawshank Redemption, i've seen it probably 10 times, never get tired of it. what are your opinions?

it was still a good movie! it got okay reviews (55% on rotten tomatoes), and it was one of the top 10 grossing movies in the year it came out, but for some reason it all the sudden became super-cool to bash it and dismiss it as a huge flop, even though it ended up breaking even in the worldwide box office. I personally think its a great movie.

You need to know and understand the history of Hunter S. Thompson and the time period in which the movie was taking place in. You also need to know the background to the REAL life trip they made to Vegas back then. The movie is based on real events. :)
