Do it yourself man, its not too hard. There is a place called calgary chrome works or something like that. They can help you.

Yea but the turn around time is brutal there, were talking months. I agree, do it yourself.

Dude i could polish your valve cover in 3 hours tops. ITS EZ!!!

3 hours will yield a poor job. to get a nice smooth finish over the entire peice you will need a weekend in my experience, from paint stripping, to wetsanding from 400-2000 grits, then a good polish, and a protectant. and if there is any raised parts ie. lettering or mounts it will add a bit of time.

doesn't yield a crappy job. It does take me about two days to do an intake manifold but that is a tonne of sanding to get it all smooth. Valve covers are seriously a joke because there is very little if any sandig needed in most cases. It is just a matter of getting the paint of using stripper. The actually polishing is easy if you have the right tools...

your correct, sorry I though his cover was cast so it would take forever to get rid of the texture, but yeah smooth raw metal is easy to do.

unless the valve cover is still on the engine, then thats another thing lol. I have all the tools to do this kinda stuff but I hate doing anything that is cast.
