just need tweezers and patience, he should be fine, its just like accupuncture!

on here it says http://www.desertusa.com/mag99/mar/papr/porcupine.html
and i quote "Pets, who often are unable to resist the Porcupine, can fall easy victim to the animal's quilled defenses and may require a simple surgical procedure by a veterinarian to remove them."

My ex girl's dog attacked a porcupine and suffered nervous system damage, I think that he had so many quills that some of them had hit nerve endings and such. They had to put him down after a while.

Back home on the farm when our dog found its first porcupine it only went for a bite once. And tweezers wouldnt work. Depends on how deep/how long the quills have been in. The longer the quills have been in they have a tendancy to work themselfs in deeper. Little barbs help with that. We had to sit on the pooch with and use pliers. Only had less then 10 so it wasnt too bad. But each one looke like it hurt ALOT as the little barbs help in preventing you from pulling them out.

One dumb ass dog.

The trick is to get the quills off the porcupine then go in for the kill, the dog just got stoped halfway through

yeah the tips of thier quils burst open when the come into contact with something and are release, hence why they are so difficult and painfull to remove

Hmmm, after searching out of curiousity of the porcupines natural predators, i found that wolves, lynx, coyotes, and wolverines have been reported eating porcupines in Alaska.
Also, an animal known as the "Fisher" is a common predator of the porcupine. Fishers are weasle like animals

it's not a pit bull. It's an English bull terrier. Like Don Cherry's dog Blue. Tenacious bastards. EBT's are equally tenacious but less prone to attacking humans per capita.

The dog isn't dumb (sputnik, you asshole) it's just that they are tough.

I dont know what planet you come from but on mine tough does not = smart.
That dog in peticular i guess its tough that it kept going.... but also pretty stupid that it kept going.

Reminds me of Steve O on Jackass. Tough but dumb as a sack of shit.
