Screenshots from video

I'm trying to take screenshots from movies for work, but all I keep getting is a black screen.

I've tried using Robo Screen Capture but it's still the black screen. Anyone know what's going wrong?

if you're doing the ALT+PRTSCRN method

You have to turn off both the hardware accelleration in your wmp options:

Tools > Options > Performance > Turn Video Accelleration down to nothing.

...as well as on your display setting:

Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced > Trouble Shoot > Hardware Accelleration.

has to do with how winxp runs it's desktop environment.

The quality wont be as good, but you'll be able to do it.

Use PowerDVD, great prog, and has Screen Cap capabilities built right in.

use windvd to play the movie i do it all the time

Just don't go overboard. Presentation with too much Star War/Trek reference may tell people that you're a nerd.

Office space references don't go over well with management.

Matirx references are overdone.
