View Full Version : Which Rims?

Hey guys, I'm having a hard time deciding on rims so I just want to know what's everybodys opinion.

I've narrowed down to two rims, same style, but different color and a little bit more...
They are ASA AR1's

Now I was feeling the black ones before but after thinking about it, the silvers aren't that bad either. The reason why I am also considering silver is because the black is only avaliable in 17x8, which is ok, but I saw a Civic SiR the other day with black rims and a polished lip from far away and I thought they were stealies until I walked up to them :(. The silvers are avalibe in 17x8 front and 17x9 rear. I can also use MB center caps with them so it would look a little cleaner; and damage or paint chip wont be as noticable. But in the end... I can't resist the DISH

So please vote and I'm open to all comments :)
Thanks

btw..........17" is too small for your car. go for 18' or even 19"

Just based on your pictures I like the look of the silver ones better... they look very clean on your car especially if you can use mb caps and everything

Sorry, +35mm is the most they've got.
Unless I can somehow get hooked up with a set of Lorenzo LM-6's
But only avaliable in 18's or 19's :dunno:

you have a point... with the silver wheels, if you have a rock chip, it's not as noticable as the black ones. You'd have to go touchup paint crazy if you knick the black ones.. On the other hand.. I feel the black ones have a nicer contrast.. your car is silver, with black accents... it's suiting that the shoes have the same. The black ones are more aggressive in that sense.. There's a big difference between 17" and 18"' inch wheels.. for the car size, I think 17" is suitable.. but on the other hand, 18" just seems that much nicer on a benz!!

I like the black ones... and go with 18's on a benz. I'm all for the clean look and everything, but why buy rims that would otherwise look pretty stock? Benz are for bling status, it'd just be a waste of money if you got plain aftermarkets in silver and tried to hide them with benz caps. My buddy entered his benz in a show in seattle a few summers ago, and none of the judges even bothered to look at his car because it looked stock! He had similar BBS rims in 18's. You need to get either bigger rims, or if you choose to get smaller rims, drop your car a little bit.. otherwise, 16's and 17's look similar.... 18's and 19's really differentiate!
