sealing polished mild steel?

Is there some kind of product that allows you to seal in polished mild steel to prevent oxidation that does a good job??? I'm trying to find something good to seal in polish any ideas??

your only option would be some sort of clear coat paint

Thats what i was thinking of doing. They have that clear enamel stuff. I like the look of polished steel, looks like shiny stainless steel but just way cheaper.

Its supposed to protect your wheels from road grime and oxidization for a year.
I was gonna try this on my wheels but havent gotten around to it.
Tunerworks has some in stock.
