i bought a deck from a buddy of mine and he told me it was ipod ready, i was just wondering what this meant... cuz i know one of my friends uses his ipod through an fm station on his deck but the quality is so horrible..

my deck being ipod ready will i get the same quality if it was an mp3 cd playing through the speakers?

It means that ther is an auxillery input in the front or back for easy plug-in of an ipod.

yea you can use your deck to control the IPOD
and play songs from your ipod through your car speakers

It sounds great, nothing like the FM crap. That is the worst joke that apple has ever put out.

Is the deck you have one of those new Pioneer ones?
I heard that Clarion's in dash DVD player with lcd screen works awesome with an ipod as well.
Im getting one of those units in the near future. Im curious to hear how your setup will work.
