UPDATE: Thanks to all that replyed to my need for a winter car.
I'm happy to say i'm the proud owner of a 97 ford taurus. Its definetly not a sexy car, but for $800, who can complain.

Just as the title says. Although, i would really not like an ugly ass car like a tempo, its still a possibility that i'd buy it.

I'm basically looking for a 4 banger(possibly 6) car or truck with around 200,000 clicks(of course less is always best), that'll get me around town, to the ski hill, and to calgary once in a while. So its got to be solid and start on those cold mornings.

1985 or higher so I don't have to pay for it to be inspected, unless its been inspected recently and there is valid proof of it.

^^ ouch, going on 300 k's though man. Let me know exacly its problems(cuz its got to have some). Eg. leaks, powertrain problems, overal condition, etc.

Does it have a block heater(how does it start on cold mornings), does the heat work, lol(very important).

And what ever else you can think of

i got one for 650$ aswell. it is a 1990 protege. it runs great looks good has no third gear but surprinsingly hard to notice once you get used to it... it always has like 90% nokian all season tires

HAHAHA I came into this thread looking to sell you a tempo honest to god, ill post pics, only like 500 bucks, works pretty good, heater works good, surface is pretty good.

It depends on your insurance company whether it needs inspecting or not. Mine is 20 yrs or less, and it doesn't need an inspection

92 cavalier 2 door 5 speed

v6 though, runs like a champ. has a block heater. i drove it all through the winter and it started no problem every time. i switched jobs but in december there was no place to plug it in at work. after 8 hours it still started even on the coldest days.

253 XXX kilometers, its no beauty but it gets the job done. rear qtr panel dent and it has hail damage.its not super rusty, except for the drivers door.

has an alpine deck, a fairly good one. i can take it out and lower the price if you dont want it.
