View Full Version : MSN blocks me from recieving stuff on MSN?

Im running XP with MSN 7, everytime someone sends me a pic or something, it blocks it and says I dont have anntivirus installed or something like that then it hides the files, how do I disable this its annoying

a pic? i know MSN is programmed to block such files as .exe's from being transfered, but i haven't encounted your situation.

If no one here can give u a hand, u might consider going to mess.be and asking those guys there

it's not .exe, but .jpg...

You still actually recieve it, it just says it failed to scan it. Its still in your recieved files. Happened to me when I converted to AVG.

i have the same problem and i have norton's firewall installed

when u get the file, dont click it... go to my recived files, and open it from there :banghead:

thats how i get around it...

I think the only way to prevent it from blocking files like that is to disable the "Security Center" service. I don't see any other place to configure it to allow certain files, very annoying feature.
