I found out why the dyno results were only so so for the turbo. The damn thing was fawked. Smoke started blowing out last night. i took the intake pipe off this morning and found a tonne of oil plastard all over it.

Seeing as the turbo was only 8 months old HKS is still going to go by their warantee (its only 8 months old). Does anybody know which t3/t4 turbo will work good on the SR motor and provide around ~350whp. That is my goal for now pretty much. I'm going to be using a full-race manifold and want to go top mount. I'm sick of taking the turbo out of that crappy spot.

Does anyone here by chance have an extra set of coolant lines for the stock T25? I'm going to put my old S15 T28 back on but dont have the coolant lines for it.

you don't have to run coolant

I like my turbo's coolant is good for them :)

I asked the guy at HKS what was up with their turbo's crapping out so soon and he gave me this garbage about turbo tolerances and garbage like that. None the less i get most of my money back. They kept asking me questions making it sound i was at fault for hurting the turbo. I told the guy i had never even really pushed the engine into the higher RPM areas with it.

I've only twice for the record pushed 20psi with it and was mostly only going on 10-11psi. pfft crap!

With the money I get back i can nearly pay for the full-race manifold and hopefully the turbo.

What is the spool up like with that T04e? Is it pretty decent? This would be my first T4, so maybe im' stepping into the real world of turbochargers lol.

its a hybrid between t4 cold side and t3 hot side.

i have to4e super57 trim/.63 turbine and stage 3 exhaust, with my ka it full spools between 3500-4000rpm. The 50trim wheel is a newer design and its more efficient than the 57. if you have the money get the similar size in the gt series....

Sounds cool, all i know is i've always used a T2 because they were just easy to use.

I just want something that will be efficient to the 350whp range since i dont really want more power than that. One thing I have read regarding the T4 turbos is that the slightest change in size can throw things way out of wack.

Thanks for the info on this turbo, now i just need to read more on it to sell myself on it!!!

how much did you pay for your turbo and where did you buy it if you dont mind?
