Almost died after eating Pho

Went to a pho shizzle last night (wont say where) with my girlfriend and ordered spring rolls with shredded pork vermicelli. We left, grabbed a coffee and began home.. made it from glenmore to mcknight.. when I suddenly began feeling high on drugs.. slight hallucinations and trouble breathing. about 500 feet from her house. The initial intensity of whateverthefuck was going on had passed but I remained in a drunken state for the remainder of the evening and passed out on the couch. I didnt drink or smoke anything so it was something in the food. Umm.. be careful?

Which Pho is it? Ive only got sick once from Pho , it was just runnin to the washroom a few times , nothing major.

it was probably from the iced coffee if you ordered that at the pho restaurant. That stuff is potent!

It was "around" chinook mall. No I wasnt shittin the bed or puking.. just like baked/drunk crunk? It tasted great.. maybe ate too fast and hyperventilated.

A friend of mine got sick a couple nights ago from the pho on center st just south of 16th ave.

but she had the boring old housebound type of sickness, not the yeehaa i'm high on pho sickness.

oh yeh, noodles still expand in your stomach i think. ever left instant noodles sitting out for couple hours? x2 the size.

Could be an MSG or caffeine reaction. I never was allergic to anything either but this whole summer I've been sneezing my ass off. I guess you can easily develop allergies later in life.:dunno:

Until you figure it out, maybe best to have the gf taste all your food first to make sure it "tastes alright" (read: making sure she's not poisoning you!):D

I go out for Pho 2-3 times a month in all locations and i've never gotten sick from it, not even a tummyache, so i'm thinking i'm one lucky guy or u must have had an allergic reaction to something that you ate

Everyone at my work eats at Golden bell Saigon (I'm in MacLeod place, the office buildings next to it) and nobody ever gets sick, so if it was there, must've been a bad portion or somethin. Good too, and not too expensive. Doesn't sound like a good Pho trip though.

Yea our guys go there to eat as well, and I dont think anyone has ever had an issue... Maybe the shits but thats about it.

Meh, no biggie.. I do beleive the effects were of the anaphylactic nature. So I dont believe there was any negligence at the end of the restaurant

I eat it weekly and never got sick, but my co-worker will never have it again because he almost died from some bad bean sprouts. Not sure if u had that in your vermicelli.

I've worked at my uncle's bean sprout factory in Richmond and its pretty filthy stuff, so make sure u dunk it in that hot water long enough.

hrmmm that is pretty crazy well me and my friend had a a experience like that once at the pho place right sonic where all the sudden i felt pretty high on E but it quickly went away after i finished!

Im pretty sure when he said "pho shizzle" its an actual restraunt name. Not bagaloc saigon, or golden bells saigon :P. Because I've heard of Pho Shizzle.
