Had my first encounter today with the street racing club for the elders.

Driving back south on Crowchild i see a new Lexus RX330 pull in behind me, now im already travelling about 95, so about 15 over, and it caught up to me. Then it proceeded to weeve in and out of traffic following my exact pattern, so i was thining it was some young punk...w/e. So i turn onto 14st south with the lex still right behind me, im going about 80 and it changes lanes and FLYS by me, musta been going 100 or more, but the thing i didnt notice b4 was the maroon Plymouth Breeze and the third gen teal VW Jetta follwing it, all of whom proceed to FLY by me just as quickly as the Lexus. Now this i just said w/e too and continued on my way. I reach the intersection of 14th and Heritage to find them all waiting in a line at the light and as I'm pulling up beside them to the stop line i notice something.... theyre all like 70 years old and all women. White hair, crouched low in their seats except the one in the Lexus and all wearing those blacked out granny goggles! I nearly bursted out in laughter!

But anyways watch out for them lol!

Leave 'em alone...

Look, who knows how much time they have left with us. Might be days, weeks, fuck it...Might even be hours...they have EARNED the right to drive how they want...as fast as they want, as thugged out as they want.

Let them get to where they are going before they die...

now, onto the real topic...what were YOU doing 15KPH over the limit??...and you can complain about them??:dunno:

lol thats was the dumbest post ever, sorry

you cant possibly justify someone doing over 30 the posted limit cause theyre old, what if they take a pregnant mother and children out with them? seriously.

i was doing 15 over, so? i do 115 on deefoot, just like everyone else too. but this thread isnt about me, stay on topic.

Better that they get there quick, than make everyone else suffer with the 30km/h below the limit driving style. (Does it seem you're going faster the older you get?)

But this thread is about you. YOU had a street encouter with some elderly people blowing off some old-person anger. YOU decided to post it up here so YOU will have to deal with all comments, negative or positive.

Nice to hear that all of them dont drive slow, incontinence is a bitch:thumbsup:

No this thread is not about me in any way shape or form.

but w/e ok
i didnt bitch about how they drove, wasnt raging, personally i dont care if they drive like that and kill themselves. I just thought it was a funny observation because like you stated, its not everyday you see a granny who isnt doing 30 UNDER the limit.

Would the thread exist without you?

It's like one hand clapping, and only Chuck Norris knows what that sounds like.

I've seen these people before. Once on the highway out to okotoks. A silver slk kompressor, ripping up behind me. Im already doing about 130, this car must have been going about 170-180. So, not one to be passed, I speed up to match. I finally catch up to it, and its like this 5'1 75 y/o grandma, just grinning at me. I almost shit my pants.

lol thats hilarious, good for her on the sweet car and the balls to go with it...but 180 is a bit ridiculous, the scary thing is could she even see over the dash??

And to think that I was planning on dumping my ride in favor of an oldsmobile the size of a small yacht as soon as I turned 40!

Knowing me, I will drive until the cops drag me out of my car from being too old. Driving completes me...

I just saw this thread and i have seen this Lexus, I was on Glenmore exiting towards Crowchild North, it was going about 80-90 on the ramp and flew by me and a few other cars. It surprised me because I noticed this car coming down from the 14 St ramp trying to merge and there was a lot of traffic, and I wasn't expecting it to catch up to me so quick, after it passed us, it went weaving in and out of traffic on Crowchild north. And yes the driver looked fairly old to me.

As for the posters driving, I see you around alot and I have always admired your car, but it is how you drive that always catches my attention.:)

no offense by what i said, you drive your car as it was intended to be driven and everytime i have seen your car it's going pretty quick or weaving through traffic(legally).
