OK so for sale and free are in the same sentence, i know!
so this is how it works

because in Alberta its illegal to buy/sell turtles, the turtle is free if hes all you want, with him you'll get the tank and all the underwater stuff like rocks ect. But the filter which i bought 2 weeks ago for him isnt free, thats 50$, i paid 60$ at petland plus i bought new filters for 5$ which u'll get with it.

im getting rid of him cause im moving

ok there is little to no maintenence involved with him, he eats freeze dried maggots outta a container, feed him once a day, 6 days a week, if youre not planning on getting the filter you have to drain the tank with a hose every week- two weeks and refill it with fresh water. if you get the filter youll generally never have to change the water, just add more with a bucket when the water level gets low.

number pm'ed

Turtles are fun, I used to have one years ago. Had to drive to Cranbrook to get him.

But they are super low maintenance. I fed mine freeze dried shrimp and the occasional feeder fish because it was hilarious to watch.

Good luck

one quick question --- is this the kind of turtle that will grow to fit whatever box you put it in? so if you gave it an entire basement, it would grow to be a few feet long?

Guess whos back on the market!

the lady who wanted her cant take her anymore (turns out shes pregnant, and the salmonella from turtles can be fatal to babies if they catch it, but not to adults of course.) so little buddy here is still looking for a loving home!

if interested please pm me!

I used to own a turtle when I lived overseas in Syria. I loved the guy. He would just room around my backyard and eat plants all day. When I found him I would feed him some lettuce. Great pets, I did get sick from him once. It wasnt anything more than an upset stomach. Just make sure to wash your hands after handling him. Also why is it illegal to sell turtles in Alberta. I could of sworn I saw one at Petland the other day.
