Hey everyone!

Alright well Alberta Tuner is back in full swing. We have started to come up with and assign some stories that we want done in time for the first issue. There are a few stories that need to be picked up and here is your opportunity to come up with your own story idea and prepose it to me for publication. The new debut date is set for March so you have a few weeks to get anything done that you're looking at doing but I will need to know in the next few days if you're interested in helping out with the project.

I have quite a long list of names of people who said they were interested in helping out so here's your chance to prove it to us. Send me your ideas through PM or by email to [email protected] or volunteer to pick up one of the ideas below. Thanks everyone!

The following ideas have been preposed and approved for the first issue of Alberta Tuner. The ones in bold at the top have been assigned a writer/photographer already. The ones at the bottom need someone to cover them.

Project Car- Paula Sexsmith- RX7
Feature Car- Sean Fournier- Jetta
Special article contributed to by Keel and Haysen
Feature on Alberta's Car Clubs
World of wheels coverage
Alcohol Funny Car Feature- Rodger Bateman
Car Review- perfect for anyone looking at a new car or someone who likes to test drive all the newest cars. Collecting the specs, taking the test drive, talking to the dealer and doing a review. Open to most cars so feel free to have fun with this. We will need one of these every month so feel free to volunteer a couple of ideas.
Tech Articles- there has been a lot of people talking about doing up some tech articles for the Tuner but no one has actually committed to doing any. We'll need a few, so if you have some mechanics know how, have recently done a project that you want to give the nitty gritty details about or just something basic such as how a Turbo works, how and exhaust system works, ect. Our purpose is to educate as well as inform.
Car Audio- this is another imporant one. I know you guys know your shit when it comes to the audio in a car and now you can prove it. I'm open to ideas here but be creative and don't be afraid to go big.
Winter in the Car World- We all know how ansty and restless we get waiting for the summer months to get here so we can pull the cars out of the garage and finally hit the track. I'm looking for a creative and maybe even funny (if you so feel the desire) take on winter in the car world.

Those are the ones preposed thus far, please feel free to pick something from the lest of needed stuff or come up with your own idea, I'm open to just about anything. Email me at [email protected] or PM me here. Thanks again everyone!

I can sometimes write, I'll give a shot for a technical write-up, turbo system related or just my experiences with my MR2 over the summer

Hmmmm my car is all apart but the putting back together won't happen for a bit. Someone should do winter race coverage (or do you guys race during the winter in AB?)

Well right now the car has the head, oil pan and front case off plus bunch of other stuff. I'm thinking a mid-summer feature car ;)
I'll have lots of pics of the tear-down and rebuild though
For winter racing I was thinking ice racing, snow-x that sorta thing. It's big here in Sask. Everyone takes their summer pride and joy, puts some studded tires on it and give 'er hell on a dirt course

Melinda If I make it to the event, I'll do a write up for it. I'll find an alternate at the CSCC meeting on thursday just in case I can't make it for whatever reason as well.

Thanks man, thats awesome..check your PM's in a minute

This goes for anyone...if you're heading out to an event, bring a camera with you or a pad of paper and jot down some details...do a small little write up (or a big one if you want) and we'll put it into Alberta Tuner...its good to let fellow albertans know what's out there for events and stuff
