I don't think there is as there is a big Ducati meet going on there this weekend. Why don't you just call them?

Race City is indeed open for racing for Secret Streets on July 29th.

272-RACE (7223) and then press 69 to hear this information.

They are running auto-x and the drag.

Should be a good time. I plan to go.

I'm just going because I really need to find some consistency with my driving as well as establishing some decent boost settings. The hope is to find settings/driving habit that will give me repeatable times within 0.2 of a second.

My inconsistency is driving me crazy! :(

I'm hoping to run mid 12's in a repeatable fashion. Once I've got that figured out, then I'll throw in an 11 second run for good measure! LOL! :poosie:

Does anyone know what time tech closes at?....i might be a bit late

Z_Fan

Tech closes at 10:30 (supposedly) - but you better get there before 10 or you might have some issues. Depends on how busy they get.

I'm now hoping to run mid 13's in a repeatable fashion. Yeah, and once I've got THAT figured out, I'll try to throw in a 12 second run for good measure!

LOL

Twin Turbo red is so 10 years ago anyhow.

I'm taking the SRT-4 instead.

AND I'm gonna be late. Oh well.

Well, managed to get within 0.02 of my fastest time - that time was on drag tires - and this time was on streets. So same time but with faster mph. All because of changing where I shift.

Best run was a 13.617 @ 106.76mph. HOM kicked out. (As per usual) and the tail end of the run was slow.

I need to get this fixed. It is overboosting in a big way. I guess I had better get an electronic boost controller for this POS. I'm sure if it was just boosting to 20-21 and holding, the car would be quicker and HOM would stay engaged.

The car is boosting 25-28 PSI when it kicks out of HOM. I know this is just plain wrong.

The speedtech (sleeper) Red Civic had some fast runs. I'm pretty sure I heard an 11.8 in there at some point. Haulin' ass.

I saw the civic run a 11.92 I think? at 12x.xx mph. It was consistently hitting 123-125mph traps. I left at 11 though, and it was lined up for another run so maybe the later one was 11.8. Fucking fast anyhow.:burnout:

Oh I'm guessing that's race fuel, drag tires of some kind and pretty close to full potential. That's good enough for real low 11's in Edmonton.

But hey, who knows! Maybe it was only 80%. LOL.

yeah that red civic was crazy. Never seen it before.

I dont know what my problem was tonight, but I just didnt feel like i was getting the best times i could of (or maybe i was expecting too much out of my car) :dunno: .....Then again i've only had the car 10 days and its still 100% stock on 7-8lbs of boost. My goal was a mid to high 14.....Best time was 15.3, MPH was 90, 60ft was 2.25. I might be crazy, but it honestly felt ALOT faster on the drive home, which was a real piss off. Oh well i still love my car:love: ....there were some pretty nice, fast cars there though:thumbsup: ...I'll have to come back in a month or so with some mods done and see how the MR2 does then.

I raced you at some point. You beat me by like 0.05 overall. LOL. 5/100ths you bastard!! :poosie:

I totally agree about the tail wind. It picked up and I felt it was good for almost two full tenths of a second down the quarter. It was at least good for .1 at the very least.

Well - first you need to get it into .wmv format since most people will prefer that. But I suppose quicktime is fine too.

Then you need to upload it to a host on the internet so people who download it can get it pretty quickly. So you need someone who has webspace or you can use your own if you have some.

Then you post the link to that in your message. Just like that. If you have a shaw.ca account, then you have webspace associated with your e-mail accounts. It used to be only 10MB, but now it has been increased to 20MB per account. So, there you go! Some room for videos...

Yup! Well, you're practically an old man. So it's no wonder my RT was faster. LOL! The battle of the thirty somethings...haha

That was fun! Side by side we were as we crossed the finish line.

Your CAR must be longer than mine - cuz I swear - my helmet was in front of your helmet as we crossed the line! I looked out the window and there you were! BEHIND me. Damn cab forward designs these frickin' dodges have.

You're lucky my car is so short - or I would have won! :poosie:

That was a good race!

if you don't get a good launch, your et won't match your mph.

Takes awhile man, my first night out I was skipping second gear and pullin low 16s, last night I was pullin 15.3 at 98 mph, my buddy is doing 13.6 in his Nova at 99mph, my 60' was 2.8 and his was 1.9, big difference on the launches, all I do is spin, where as he had drag radials and just went.

Takes time and practice.

What's your 60ft time? I am willing to bet that on the higher MPH run your 60ft time was higher. Get the launch down and shift as fast as you can and you'll improve a lot.

Assuming you are driving a stock 350z, you should expect about a 14.5 as your best obtainable time at Race City. Maybe a hair quicker.

Make sure you turn off VDC. You don't want that on for the drag.

As for your time slips - I have found that some times at Race City a certain lane will trap higher than the other one. On this Friday I felt that the LEFT lane was shooting out higher MPH's. What lanes were your runs in?

Good luck.

Sorry mang I didnt change the "what I drive yet" I had a black NSX ... yeah the very first time I went I did the 14.7 and I wasn't sure where the track ended so I kinda slowed down at the end cause it was dark, and cut my time... I had a really bad launch... there was an 8 in it i think ... The second time I was on the left side and i did worse but i didnt slow down... gotta get use to thoughs lights.. i think i hit a pink light on the second go.

I had alot of fun though , I woulda done more runs but my gf was in the stands freezing her ass off and in that time of the month .. so I left ...

^ Oh OK! I saw that run. (14.7 one I believe)

What year is the NSX? May only be good for mid 14's anyhow if it is early year (<95) and stock.

Ok.

Well, I think you did a really nice run then with the 14.7. The track in Calgary isn't that great IMO. So launching can be tricky. Plus our elevation ... and so really a 14.7 is pretty good for your car.

I think 91's were rated 14.4 at sea level. So fact is, you gave it an stellar run down the 1/4 with your 14.7. Nice job.

I have a ton of video from Friday, just have to go through and edit it and i'll get some of it posted this week.. Great night out there and lots of cars.. I don't know, for some reason I just didn't feel like racing, felt like taping..

I know this board is mostly import guys (I SAID MOSTLY), but there were some really nice domestics out there as well.. And of course a little biased towards the mustangs.. :) How about the 2.3l Turbo'd mustang running low 13's!! Holla!
