A few weeks ago I noticed that something seemed funky with my suspension. Basically the back end seemed really loose and skittish especially if I was taking a bumpy corner.

So today as I'm driving home on Deerfoot I hit an expansion joint on a bridge and heard a mild snap, after that everytime I hit a bump there was a loud click coming from the left rear somewhere. When I got home I looked underneath and realized that two pieces had broken off the coil near the top and there was a piece of it dangling down through the spring causing the clicking. I jacked it up and managed to yank one peice out of there. One end of it actually had a split in it about 2 inches long. This also caused the left side of the car to be dropped down by about an inch.

At least now I know the reason why turning left feels so awful. And I got a free lowering! Well, 1/4 lowering.

I sure hope my new car gets here soon.
