Alright, i want to buy a deck for my car... dont have any nice speakers or subs yet, but i figure its where i should start! Just something that plays CD's, mp3's, and in the future will be hooked up to a nicer system. Suggestions? Prefrrably in the less then 100 dollar range.

:werd: especially if you plan on hooking up an amp, subs etc...

Most manufacturers make great decks now for 200$, which can somewhat feed your needs. If your going for basic, 100$ will be fine. But if your giong all out, nothing like having a booming system, with a shitty deck. If you have an ipod, looking at getting one which you can hook up an ipod too. I think alpine has a unit that allows this, and i think pionner has come out with something that hooks up to all there units in the last 5 years .

you won't find an mp3 deck worth buying for less than $100, not even on boxing day, at least not for a couple more years

You can get a used MP3 deck (couple yrs old) for $100 if you look. Or you can settle for no-name brand crap that fails in every area for about $120 (XS cargo stereos)
