Well this years Calgary Dragon Boat Festival is just around the corner. Just wondering who on beyond.ca is racing and what team are you on?

TOP MADE ... will decimate hahaha. Just kidding, im not in Calgary this year but my sister is head coach of Topmade, i hear they are going to kick some serious ass.

Overall a great weekend of racing. The Western Regionals were being held in Calgary this year so some amazing teams to watch out there. We ended up in the 2nd division overall. No medal this year.

I don't know who won the A-division. It was probably a toss up between Calgary Canoe Club and False Creek (team from Vancouver). I believe Topmade Dragoneers got 4th, got squeaked out by Edmonton.

My friend was racing in the festival and she was telling me how the False Creek team from vancouver was nuts, she said they were so good.

Ya False Creek had a couple of teams in Calgary. Their Regional team was insane! Most of us regular teams were in the 2:05-2:15 range for 500m. They hit 1:52!!! Must be great to start paddling in February or March.
