Well I have kept it quiet on this forum so far, but heres the big announcement. I just recieved my 20" Cobra R's, unlike my old rims which were high polish aluminium, these are triple plated chorme. Are they going to fit, you ask... Yes! With a little modifications and removing the inner wheel wells they will fit. I am wrapping them in 255/35/20. They should be on sometime next week and I'll have more pictures then.

Actually they are not bad, 30lbs. each, which is only about 2-3lbs. heavier than my 17s

Agreed 8.5" isnt huge but it is the only size there was in 20s. And I like the size becuase I want to tuck them under the fenders when I dump the air ride.
In addition, I put 255s on them so thats not exactly small....

Are they 4x4.5? 4x114.3?

I am pretty sure you are both wrong, they are 4x108 with a 30mm offset. My old 17s had a 24mm offset so with less rim width and more offest I think I have a good chance of tucking them under the fenders.

How does your car handle after all of this. I cant imagine its the most nimble with the 20s and airtbags. Unique look though I can see this thing doing drive-bys in Compton back in the day.

I have been talking to a lot of suppliers and chatting with the familiars on vancouvermustangs.com and fordpower.ca and preformance-shop.com and no one knows anyone that has a fox body mustang 5.0L with 20s. There could be one out there but until I find out, I am the only one. On vancouvermustangs.com there is one guy that has a convertable on 20s but he lives in the states. Who knows I could be the only 5.0L in canada on 20s... :dunno:

Damn man that looks nice, and I ain't even a fan of chrome, even though there 20s they actually don't look too massive on your car, actually looks like you coulda maybe gone to something like 22s with like a couple mm of rubber..lol, but that size looks good, you got a decent amount of rubber on them aswell.

I dunno how you can drive it on these roads here, I'd be scared of fuckin the rims up on some pothole or bump.

Anyway props man :bigpimp: :bigpimp: :bigpimp:

They are 30lbs. each.
And they are not factory ford size. Ford had these in 17s and 18s, but these are the same style, called the 1995 Cobra Rs.

The car is slower than before with the 20s, all the goodies dont go on till the winter, but I also ordered the TrickFlow Track Heat Engine Kit; intake, cam, heads, valve covers, timing chain, push rods, roller rockers, and all the required gaskets.
The kit says it puts out 360hp with a Throttle body (which I have), and a 190lph fuel pump (which I am getting), but to all that you can add 75mm MAF, full exhaust with a bran new off-road X-pipe and Hooker headers, and a cold air system... not to mention 3.73 Ford Racing gears.

Here's a link to the kit:
