Well I dont know about you guys, but I FUKIN LOVE Evolution's.... And today, on Stoney and 16th AVE I saw a silver Mitsu Evo VIII.
It had an Alberta plate that said " EVO PWR " and was registered also......wonder how he did it......Oh and he was prob 45-50 years old.

I have a picture but from my phone so I wont even bother.

Its eather a fake , or he might be an american residence as well , and gets the car insured over there. :dunno:

There were 7-10 that were imported legally into Canada. Early on, Transport canada didn't know the difference between the Evo and the lancer.

There is a guy in Calgary with a legal Evo.

There were a number of EVO VIII's imported legally into Canada before customs added it to their blacklist. There was one for sale very recently in Winnipeg.

ya i saw that one too at the hamptons co-op, it didnt have the tall spoiler on it tho so i didnt think it was one at forst but as he got closer i saw that it was an evo with an older guy driving it, and then i turen to my freind and said i wish i had a camera cuz the guys on beyond would get a kick out of this

he lives in scenic acres, I went to school with his son and the guy is hardcore into rally racing. There has been a couple of threads alright about this car.

EVOs were importable for the first few months before RIV updated their list and made them inadmissable. I posted about it last year. Lots of people wanted evos but obviously nobody had the $ to back up what they want. Only a handful made it into Canada legally before it got cut off.

Just wondering, how much did it cost (here in Canada) when they were still importable? I just see prices on reviews/magazines...
