Wondering if its a noticeable improvement, worthy of the extra money compared to Audigy 2 ZS or even SB live 24bit.

Personally I would wait for the X-Fi (http://www.soundblaster.com/products/X-Fi/technology/audiosolutions/introduction.asp) to be shipped.

I have an Audigy 4 and its great!

Though I would also wait for the X-Fi. I went to the demo at E3 in May and it is going to be awesome. It truly does make your regular headphones sound like you have 6 or 8 speakers around you.

HAHA, onboard seems to work fine. On my last PC, I just used a sound blaster live value. $56. I don't get why you would spend any more than that.

i agree, thast why ill continue to wait and wait for the audigy 2ZS notebook card to drop in price. Was $150 for a while, just recently dropped to $140 - still way too much for me. give it time, itll be like $50

i tried SB 24bit and the improvement over onboard was very minimal at best.
