I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport (4X4)

Good condition in & out,

New Michelin LTX M/S tires.

It has been smashed into a tree, a car and the garage door a few time, but it still runs fine. The front bumper is pushed in a bit but it is hardly noticable unless you are looking for it.

4 door, 5 passenger, Grey interior, Red exterior, 4.0L, gas, 6 cylinder, automatic, must see, must sell, 228,000 kms, $6,000 obo. Phone (403) 218-1354 during the day and 860-9334 during the evenings.

You can also email me at [email protected].

This car kicks ass!!

This is actually my girlfriends car. The body is in okay shap - its not mint, door dings from kicking them shut, the front bumper is pushed in a few inches from when she cliped a tree, and a small dent on back bumper. As far as i know there isn't any rust.

The car looks like fine - but the trained eye will notice the bumps and bruises.

The interior is in good shape although the radio likes to cut out every now and then.

For those that don't know Jeep's 4.0L inline 6 engine is a long lasting engine. I have a 1989 Jeep comanche with 370km and it still runs strong and has never had any major work.

If you're looking for a good winter car this would be a good buy.

Also, we'll post pictures tonight or tommorow. So stay tuned.

I am the girlfriend who wrote the original ad and I did not realize that “smashed into a tree, a car and the garage door” could be taken negatively until after I read it a few times.

The car was not “smashed” into any of these things. I hit them gently but smashed is a harsh word.

When I hit the tree, my mom was actually driving. We were going down 37th Street towards 22X it was one of those days when it snowed a TON the night before so we were probably only going 30kms. My mom tapped the brakes and we started sliding, my mom is not the greatest winter driver, so she cranked the wheel to try to slow us down more. The car turned sideways and we slid off the side of the road. We slid down the embankment which was so full of snow that the car just kept slowing down, slower and slower. We eventually came to a stop against the tree. I am not sure if it was the snow, or the tree that pushed the bumper in, but something did. The reason I did not get it fixed is because when I took it to my body shop they said the alignment was totally fine and it did not affect the way the car ran plus the damage is so low most people would not notice it. So I figured whatever….

The car I hit was backing out of a spot I remember the dent on the back bumper being a lot bigger, but when I looked this morning I could not even really see it.

I scraped the garage door a few times, but it did not appear to do any damage from what I can see.

I kicked the doors shut lots, if my hands were full that was the best way to go. I mention this because my boyfriend (Aaron) SPAZZED every time I did this.

Also, it has not been driven in a while so neither I nor my dad knew how many kilometers were on the car, he just guessed that it was 270,000 but I checked this morning, there are 228,209.

It has high kilometers because I lived in Priddis during University so driving back and forth everyday really adds up. But it is all highway kilometers.

This is an awesome car in the winter; it has great tires on it and kicks it up when the roads are horrible.

I have never had any problems with this vehicle, my dad has the receipts for the things we have had to fix, but 90% of it is just oil changes, tire rotations, changing the battery.

It got new Michelin tires put on in July 2004 (203,807 kms). And had the Trans Range Selector Switch changed in June 2004. I have no idea what this means but it cost $450.00. It also got new brakes in June 2004 (202,185kms) and had the radiator fixed at this time as well.

The radio flicks on and off sometimes. I have no idea why, I asked my mechanic what was wrong and on the receipt it says “no fault found with radio”. It is just stock tape player radio so if you listen to CD’s you should buy a new one anyways.

The only reason we are selling this car is because we have too many vehicles right now and we would like to travel and buy a house so we need to consolidate.

Thanks Guys!!!

The car has been smacked into a small tree going which caused some damage to the front bumper that can been seen in the picture. It was also involved in a minor rearend collision at a yield in the winter, which cracked the front grill - which has since been repaired. Although it has been backed into the garage - it caused damage to the garage door and not the car. In that picture it looks like there is some kind of stain on the back seat - i don't remember it being there, the carpets do have some stains on them but they are just Mc Ds coke and mud - both of which would likely come out if you used carpet cleaner.

Me and a buddy which is a dodge mechanic was looking at the jeep today. Needs some work like windsheild is severly cracked, front bumper is bent , rad support is bent ever so slightly, oil pan gasket needed, back bumper needs refinishing couple hail dents on the roof...and on the drivers side back door is dented. newer tires on the front and older ones on the back. keyed on the passager back door. standard rock chips and what not in the front end. one back shock is leaking.

Jeep looks good overal. If someone wants a jeep that needs a bit of work this would be it...Im still thinking about buying it ....just have to figure out what its going to cost to fix back to stock and 100% mechanical shape!!!
