Good luck. They are hard to come by these days. Especially stock. Your best bet is to be very very patient and keep looking out you might find one.

When you find one that is nice, you'll pay whatever price the market will allow. Your not going to be finding rediculous deals for a car like that.

Okay, let me break it down for you, I did this exact same thing you were doing for the last couple months. I have been interested in buying a Type R for 3 years, but it wasnt untill these last few months I could afford one. Now I looked at litteraly 30 cars and out of that, I only considered buying 3. Heres the big things you will find when looking for a nice clean R:

1. The Car has be bagged, owned by a punk kid who dropped the clutch, red lined it, basicly just abused the shit out of it

2. High Km's, I had problems finding cars under 100k, and I me PROBLEMS

3. 95% of the cars in BC have a salvage rebuild title, stay the hell away from these cars, they were a write off for a reason

4. The only "good priced" Type R's you will find are the one in horrible shape with 150K+++ on them

5. IF you want a clean Type R look to pay the following:

1997-1998- clean low k's ectect- 18,000-19,000
1999-2000- Same deal- 19,000-21,000
2001- 21,000+

and those are stock prices, and even by that I might be low, I mean that generally what I found when I was looking for my car. I finally cracked bought a nice one, paid alittle more then I wanted to, but that what you gota do if you want a SUPER clean car!

Your prices are right, but everything else you are wrong on.
I was going to purchase a Type R about 2 months ago, and I found 3 in the matter of 2 months that were clean and priced accordingly. And by clean i mean unmodified. There are people that sell their modified cars and hope to get the money back from the mods, which never happens unless you find a tool to pay for it.

I disagree with you 100% everything I have metioned is correct. 90% of the Type R's I looked at were owned by younger males, and not to be steriotypical but guys usually bag there cars and drive them hard. I looked for along time as well, and I wanted a mint car, and by mint I wanted under 100k, well matianed ect ect, and I honestly couldnt find alot. So unless you have some magical resource that knowone else has please let me know! Also about the cars in BC, I know that for a fact about 90% of them with salvage titles, I called on EVERYONE that was listed and all the same story. Anyways, believe/think what you want but it's ALOT harded to find a clean car that not abused then you think, maybe we just have different standards...

Ya, you pay extra for things you shouldn't have to or want to. I like clean unraped cars, that i can mod myself.

And honesty if you were really looking for a type r for as long as you state to have been, you weren't doing a very good job. All the cars i found were in the Candatrader, either local or edmonton.

So no on the 1994 GSR with a new type r engine?
the engine has 12.xxx km with papers to back it up
The car is very clean, underbody clean, the only blemish is a small rust spot in the wheel well, black 5 speed with shortshifter, exhaust, headers, and cool air intake, no body mods except for type r lip.
Asking 11,000 OBO
if you change your mind pm me
