View Full Version : FS: Presario 1700 Series Laptop (Needs LCD cable & Bat)

I have this Presario 17XL365 Laptop available for sale. Only 1.4" Thick!

It needs a new LCD cable...otherwise it's in descent condition, and can be run with the VGA output until a new cable can be installed for the lcd screen. Entire laptop was\is working perfectly prior to the cable breaking at the hinge.

P3 700mhz with Speedstep
256mb of ram
DVD Rom
14" Screen
Brand spanking new AC Adapter.
S-Video Out, VGA Out, Parallel printer hookup.
56k Modem and Ethernet ports

(Needs New Battery as well, but can be used with AC adapter)

First guy\gal with $200 takes it.

Actually....gimme $135 and all you need is to get an lcd cable from ebay and you have a good laptop.

how do you know it only needs that cable to be fixed? how much is the fix?

I know because I broke the cable. Pretty easy to figure out after I dove into it a little bit.

The fix...depends on what you can get a cable for on ebay or a used parts place I guess. Probably under $60

No mention of HD. Does it have one? The cable for this thing seems a little pricey... perhaps there's a few parts I don't need to buy, but you said you broke the hinge??

Nothing broken but the cable.

Laptop is no longer for sale.
