Apart from the hood I like it, it has the SR20DET engine I believe and its AWD, all that in a compact vehicle, me likey.

Apparently the awd stanza tranny is the same so they are available here.

Yeah, they are great cars. They run the redtop SR20DET 208hp stock with the AWD tranny, and yes the one pictured looks bone stock as it came from the factory beside the wheels. :D

Yes, they 1st time i saw one, i thought it did resemble the VW Golf look as well, mostly fromt the back.

Some digging produced times from low 14's to mid 13's for minimal mods, and some low 13's, high to mid 12's for heavily modded cars. There is a car in the mid 11's, but it's got 369bhp and running 1.8 bar of boost (26 psi).
The times were from a British track, so much closer to sea level than us.

tranny's aren't hard to find, but awd tranny swaps = pain in the ass

nope, but when every gtir owner on the euro gtir forum, and every article i've read on them says the tranny doesn't like much of any abuse, and there is no evidence otherwise, kind of hard to discredit their experienced opinions

Actually its light years ahead of VW in Styling. CAuse this Pulsar GTi-R was built somewhere between 90-93. When VW Golf was still in Gen II which is the boxy styling. It didn't get to be like Pulsar until the 99-05 model year. :thumbsup:

I love these cars, just the hood "grille/scoop" reminds me of the front of the PT cruiser!

wasn't this car built by nissan so they could rally?

Its definately sweet for what it is, its probably some sort of econobox in its base form though right? That and the fact it work over any hatchback on this eide of the water for sure kinda makes it cool :D

-did d-unit get banned for saying that it looks like a golf ? :rofl: :rofl:

The GTi-R will be arrivin in Calgary on October 5...the exact one that d-Unit posted up....cant wait to test drive it
