ok...selling again. i have pictures now so hope they help.

its in v.good/excellent condition.

its a 53" big screen sony tv.
-4:3 ratio screen NOT 16:9; ie not widescreen
-its about 4 yrs old but has the equivalent of maybe 2 yrs usage.
-its a top-of-the-line model back in the days; an XBR TV.
-its original retail is $6499; i paid ~$5700 for it.
-its high definition ready.
-its got top grade audio sound for a tv.
-this set will not fit in a mini van. must be transported standing up.
-a 53" 4:3 set is equiivelent to a 48" 16:9 set

looking for $999 now

cool feature 1: tv with 12-channel preview on...but i have no cable tv to display it properly.

pic-in-pic mode...the small box can be adjusted to 3 different sizes and can be moved to anywhere on the screen.

pic-AND-pic...two pictures side by side...each picture can be resized.

btw...pix are showing glare on screen which makes it look like scratches...the screen on the tv is perfect though, no scratches or anything like that...

also, this is a dual tuner tv set...you will not need anything else (ie. separate vcr) to take advantage of the pic-in-pic modes.

how hard would it be to trnasport this thing? I mean it has to be standing up....why?

hey...sorry no trades for now.

it is recommended to ship standing as that was what ive always been told. i never bothered to ask why.

i am located in nw (beddington).

sorry the warranty expired just last year.


come on guys...this is a top model best of the best back in the days...it is still very very good today...almost exactly the same picture quality as the current model sonys that sell at $1999 for a 51" widescreen updated version of mine.
