Don't think you can make an individual folder have a password (besides compressed folders, which is just zipped) with Windows XP. You could use third party software and have password protected folders.
If you're trying to stop people from viewing your porn, you can just restrict access to the folder to certain accounts.

you could encrypt it, so that only your account can access it
right click folder -> on general click Advanced -> encrypt it
but if you reformat windows XP and forget to decrpyt the folder/ or backed up the encryption key the folder is gone forver.
it happened to me with some importants documents

Actually if you format and forget to decrypt, there is still a way to get the files. All you need to do is turn off simple file sharing in the folder options then you have a lot more advanced options when you access an encrypted folder. It happened to me and I thought i was hooped until someone mentioned it to me in #windows95 on DALnet.
