s13 exhaust question?

well i am replacing everything in my exhaust system and i want to know if the downpipe from a jdm s13 will match up with a usdm 240sx cat. its 2 bolts and well I have never seen a stock exhaust because I have always had the car line special exhaust systems.

just wondering before I go out and buy a new down pipe and a cat back, i do not want any welding this time because every time i get it done, the pricks do a half ass job.

not necessarily, only if you use a testpipe. I have a magnaflow stainless steel pre-muffler welded into that spot and my car is very quiet. test pipe or resonator is not good though, very very very loud. if you get an exhaust with a pre-muffler, any kind of exhaust it will be good. make sure its not a resonator though, they will not stuff the noise level enough.
