Maybe someone on beyond can help, I posted this on G2ic but time is a concern so I'll post here too:

Hello,

I have searched and looked but have not found what I'm looking for.

Recently my ABS light came on, using the teg tips I pulled the code and it was code 2. this means that ABS thinks my handbrake is always on. After jacking up the rear of the car I found that my e-brake works perfectly, 6 clicks to lock and no binding when it isn't engaged.

I took the console apart and the sensor appears to be normal, at this time the handbrake light stopped working. I'm thinking these two are related, Is my sensor just shot? Can i fool the sensor into thinking the handbrake is off all the time?

I'm about to travel 2000kms and would prefer that my ABS in working, I dont care if it helps me or not I would just like my car to have no issues before I depart.

Short version:

-ABS light comes on
-It's code 2 (Parking brake switch)
-Handbrake light stopped working around the same time

Any ideas?

TIA,

Lewis
