1990 ford taurus decks?

i've never installed any cd decks before, i was jsut wondering if the wires and stuff in this car will make it easy as just plugging in the wires... with no modding or soldering?

as long as it's not the "foot ball" dash you should be able to get awireharness that makes it very easy.

:D fords decks..
check your deck if it has 4 holes on the front of it... if there is you'll need a din pin.. or make one out of a wire coat hanger..

you'll need it to take the deck out..
then just get a harness at best buy then match the colors.. then bang you're done...

yea i think theres little holes at each of the four corners of the cassette deck... so i get a thin wire to release it.....

so i pull it out... what is a harness anyways?

after i put a harness it should be straight forward matching the wires with the ones arldy there?

when you take out the stock deck, you should be able to unplug a wire harness and antenna cable from the back of the deck, a harness that looks like these will be in the car, except the wire ends won't be so short they will run into the car

on the after market deck there is a wire harness as well but it has no connecter on the end, so you have to buy one, you can get them for around $10, it will look like this

the colors on the harness you buy and on the aftermarket deck should match up, just wire them together and plug the harness you bought into the factroy harness and you are done

ok... anygood online vendors in canada that sell dvd decks? not expensive screen ones from fs or bb

They do but, there a bit of a pain and there not cheap

ok i got a cheapo koss deck.. got a wire harness and got a installation kit with brackets...

what are some recommened speakers that are cheap...

erri i put 4 coat wire hangers into the 4 holes and tried to pull it out... no luck... any suggestions?

go to wall-mart and spend 5$ on the keys to remove the deck.
