Well my SLK 55 is in September production, I'm looking to get a set of rims for it. I'm either gonna go with 18s or 19s not quite sure yet but here are the styles I'm looking at. I'm also thinking about running one type of wheel on one side and a different type of wheel on the other side.

Daytona

Emotion

Swift

The SLK is going to be Mars Red and I'm probably goning to get the rims with a Racing Gold finish.... Any input is appreciated

One type on right side and one on left, not front and back?

You doing it so people think it's two different cars?

Ohh, and congrats. The SLK55 is awesome!!!

Would you be mad though if they come out with the SLK63?

Tough choice between the Daytonas and the Swifts. I'd have to say Daytonas overall, they'll probably suit the car rather nicely.

because you can never see one side of the car at the same time. i dunno my cousin suggested it, so i'm putting it out there.

I don't think they'll be putting the 63 in the SLK or the C for that matter because why would they put the same engine they'd be using in the ML and the S class in such a smaller and lighter car.It is like the S55 now and the SLK 55. There is no supercharger in the SLK 55 right now

I think Swift or Emotion, the car is very edgy and busy, so you don't want wheels that are too simple.

haha, I raced a SLK55 already in my car and my car is a lot quicker. Now if he supercharged his SLK55, that'd be a different story! ;)

Congrats on the car. Photo shoot!!!

a lot the stories I've heard on the Internet are grossly exaggerated or completely untrue. I heard its pretty bitter in the Wheel industry right now and there are a lot of fake stories on the internet. I have contacted iForged and have no hesitations in dealing with them.

I'd get the Swift and definitely go with 19" rather than 18".. I think the 18s look tiny on the SLK

Should be a fun car.. I really like the way the SLK55 feels.

I think running two different sets of wheels would look pretty tacky. The novelty would wear off quick and I imagine it would get very annoying having to explain why you have different sets of wheels.

I like the Swifts myself, and I can picture them looking pretty good in a gold shade.

I agree, probably one of the dumbest ideas I've heard of since whistle tips and windshield washer nozzle LED's.

Totally clowning out an otherwise wicked car IMO.

also having 2 sets of wheels of different weights on the car?!

I would stick with 4 wheels, all the same, no contest, dilemmas, questions or equivocations.

I've heard its the new trend in So Cal. My cousin has done it on all his cars, you don't really notice it to be honest.

Here's a 996 with the two different types going....

I agree, HRE's or bust. You got ultimate quality and they are hubcentric. I know there are alot of HRE haters around...its because some ppl have problems with the best in the business.

But if Iforged is the only option, the emotions are alright.

And forget the 2 different wheel types on each side, it will wear out quickly and you'll be trying to sell wheels that are near impossible to, because there are only two of them in one style. Stick to one style.

On another note, AMG wheels are pretty dope as it is from the factory! Theres no shame in keepin those man!
