Hiya,
I'm trying to rewire my car and I want to know how to remove wires from a wiring harness. They are really stuck tight?
Thanks.

Usually there is a small clip on the plug that holds a barb on the end of the wire in the harness. You have to use a small needle like tool from the back, to push past the clip in the plug, then pull the wire out of the harness.
What kind of car are you rewiring, and what part is it that you need to rewire?

Sorry, sort of stated it wrong. Just rewiring the stereo. Nothing major. The stereo loses memory everytime the car is fully switched off. Some people told me to feed the yellow and red wires to a permanent live and they warned me of possible risks.
Thanx for the reply.

Yellow is 12V and red is ignition.
Seen it done backwards many times.
Feeding both to 12V will mean having to shut it off manually every time.
