Two positive things about the car.
1: The paint is nice. May not be a good color, but it's flawless.
2: That car probably runs 10's or lower. Just look at the rims and tyres it's using.

Oh my that's quite the trashy broad ... and the car ... if it was a different color and a different front end ... might be a little better ...

1. Is there any point to air intakes at the back of the car?(sorry, I dunno if the engine is in the back or not but I sincerely doubt it)

2. You can tell how fast it is by the size of the tires? You're my hero...I've seen civic's with 18" rims and the quarter mile time time that matches...

as far as I know, all MR2s engines are all in the back

1. The intake has to do with the paint job? Wow, you've been around cars for a while then I bet.... good work prostar
2. If you've ever seen a real drag car, they have the same styled rims and tyres. Those rims on the car are made specifically for drag racing. You don't drive them on the street you genius.

Racing harnesses have many advantages..too bad these chicks don't

And yes those scoops are somewhat functional, MR2's are midengine rear wheel drive. The wheels although a little overkill are there to help lay 650hp to the ground.

:thumbsdow not my cup of tea.

Those Air intake Scoops("Toms" style) are supposadly 100% non functional, from what ive read. The Natural Air flow on MR2's come from underneath the car, so all those do is screw up the Air flow in the Engine bay, by forcing Air downward. I'll see if i can dig up some threads off MR2.com that say this. They can look nice though:thumbsup:

Ryan, your car looks pimp!! Now you can represent RD at the annual Three Hills Car Show.....

Whats new? Havn't heard from you in a while?

The scoop would be functional if you channel some sort of hose from the opening of the mouth to the intake or wheel but its mostly a dust collector.....

Peace

Apparantly, you havent seen a drag car either.
Maybe look at the TYRE sidewall and width on a drag car next time (?) you go to the track.:nut:

Actually they do spell it tyre in a lot of other countrys. And Three40seven has been around the scene a bit longer than you mr."tekademics" or whatever. He knows fast cars, and lots of people with fast cars. How many drag cars do you see running a 30 series sidewall? Maybe you should learn something about these crazy things on 4 wheels, and "Fast and Furious" does not qualify as learning material.

i believe the sidewall on drag tires is there to prevent the tires from braking loose imediatly when power is applied. The sidewall will bend... Lowerpro tires would brake loose because the sidewalls are too stiff.

Dead on- the tall sidewall is there to let the tire absorb shock instead of breaking the tire loose.

:werd: if you watch them old powerade commercials, they have a slomo clip of a top fuel tire sidewall flexing at launch

GTS Jeff

this is also why drag racers like to run with lower tire pressure in the rear wheels
