laptop RAM speeds

PC2700---->PC4200DDR2. (not sure if mine is DDR or DDR2).

what improvements do ram speeds make? ones that I will notice lol, dont just say itll be faster haha. Trying to decide if its worth the $ right now, or just to stick with my 2700, until ram gets cheaper, then go 4200+

DDR1 and DDR2 modules do not physically work together... you can't upgrade a notebook/system from DDR1 to DDR2 unless the system has BOTH types of memory slots on board.

Your laptop runs on PC2700...
I know that for a fact... Do not put anything other than PC2700 in your laptop.
