WTB Socket 370 mobo or with removable square bios chip

my bios chip died on my comp and i need one to start high school. its a socket 370 or i could hotflash my bios.

You'd need to get the chip off of a mobo that is EXACTLY the same as the existing mobo. For this reason, most people that have their bios go bye bye w/no warranty left on the mobo just end up buying an new mobo.

I've read somewhere that there is a procedure you can try to reflash your bios but have not tried this myself. It involoves using a dos boot disk with the bios loaded on the boot disk and a batch file that automatically runs the bios flash program. You'd need to know what switches to use so that it flashes without user intervention. Throw the disk in hope it boots from floppy and hope it autoflashes. Not guaranteed to work, but it's worth a shot.
