Skyline GTR.
It's lighter than the GTO by quite abit, the GTO is a tank at 3800lbs. A Skyline can weigh in around 3100lbs. The GTR also has the variable AWD, meaning that it can be either full RWD, or AWD, depending on the conditions. The GTO is full-time AWD.
The Fairlady is ok, but I don't like the looks as much as the other two. As well, it doesn't handle as well, and it's not as fast as the other two.

Honestly, IMO you should take a look at other cars that are available for importation. There is many neat cars that are not as popular that you can get really good deals on. Also there are some amazing cars that are compleatly orginal (eg. http://www.importconcern.ca/stock/100139/).

If u must choose from your list, go with GT-R IMO, but really the only thing that matters is that u get what u want.

Skyline GT-R all the way! I just don't understand why people would bother with 300ZXTT imported from Japan as well as GTO aka (3000GT) from Japan. I mean weren't these available here as well as States?

You should go for the skyline
they are amazing machines especially the GTRs

save your self time and money locate the car and import it yourself. getting a 1990 skyline is so much easier than getting the 1989 ones.

good luck !!!!

Yaay...The nissan Laurel. We had this car in the family back in the day. It used to talk to tell u about the door being open or the keys in the ignition. It would be a unique import, or just get another skyline.

didn't that one have an rb26 swap?

out of that list, gtr, but you should look into other cars from japan as well.

I would go with the skyline or the fairlady... Just because they have a running chance of keeping up to the 7 and it would piss off all our neighbors

But if you set my alarm off , i will have to kill you :guns:

Its sure does :bigpimp: That car will be insane, my guess it should keep up to nguyens S14 w/o much problem.

And there are many other nice cars available from japan, winter is comming, you probley wont wanna drive the car in winter anyways, therefor there are new models available in 91, including, EG6, Aristo , FD, AE101, and more.

i think they were released in september 1989 or somethign like that.

in 1990 they had a whole year to mass produce these GTRs, so he will find them very easy to locate and cheap to buy.

if you locate and ship them directly by yourself from japan it will save you good money

Skyline = fad car IMO
Get the Fairlady, you don't see those often around here.
When I see one I always turn to look.
Not a skyline though...

Depends what you're buying the car for anyways, if it's for racing and such...GT-R

There were closer to 5000 made in 1989.

The R32 GT-R is the best of those three.

Skyline GT-R is a great AWD car that is very quick and definitely an eye catcher. They're a bit pricey though and some parts are tough to find. I would recommend this car if you have a backup vehicle.

The Fairlady's are great looking, quick cars and the parts are pretty easy to come by. The only problem is, you'll spend an arm and a leg for labour if anything goes wrong as the engine is extremely tough to work on.

Ultimately it's your choice. Pick the vehicle that you like the most and just go with it. They're all very nice cars and you'll be happy with any of them.

BuT I chose the 3kgt. Why? Because it's just my opinion. Too many view the GTR as a God and too Many view it as a fad. Everyone will have their own opinion. What you should do is research each car for their ups and downs and then decide. Also is this gonna be a daily driver? A whole lotta upkeep for these truly amazing cars. All 3 of those cars are Gods in their own path.

That Laurel with the RB26DETT is sick.

But, since that's not a poll option, I vote for the Fairlady. It's classier than the GT-R, and it has parts available in North America.

I never said anything wrong about the Skyline but seriously, a Skyline is far from a supercar.

Here is a supercar:

This is a fast but normal car: (20k supercar?)

how fast can u run 0-60s and how fast in the 1/4 mile, also how do u enjoy the rhd?

08-29-2005, 01:32 AM
skyline, how could there be any other choice?

heavyD
08-29-2005, 08:04 AM
None. Once you buy one of these Japan 'reject' cars you are stuck with it. Trying to sell one of these RHD cars is extremely difficult as you have to hope that the 0.25% of the population that will buy a RHD in Canada will want your car and alot of dealers will not accept them as a trade-in.

another thing you might want to consider is finding less common parts. i know you can get most parts for a skyline in north america, but i have a feeling body panels, and glass might be hard to find. can you imagine if you got a massive crack on your windsheild or someone broke your rear window :banghead:

asp integra

ya that wouldnt be fun, but im sure i could find parts, just as long as the body is in great shape and the engine is in excellent condition i would be happy

if you have to ask others what you should buy then chances are you probably dont want it THAT bad..... and you'll end up not liking it cause its not what you wanted, blah blah blah..... just sit down and think about it lol, what do you actually want.
