U of A / U of C Engineering Faculty transfers?

I got acceptance into both U of A and U of C for science, but not for engineering, and that's the degree I'm gunning for.

It's my understanding that U of C, you can't take all the engineering courses in the 1st year (certain restrictions apply), but at U of A you can take all the 1st year courses and apply to 2nd year. So I'm assuming U of A would be the better bet, has anyone done either of these transfers?

U of C is impossible to get into if you are doing a transfer. Your best bet is go to the University of Alberta (it's better anyway), and speak with someone in the faculty of engineering to get accepted for your second year.

Go U of A over U of C especially in Engineering. U of A is ranked 3rd for Engineering in all of the Universities Canada.
