Well I posted this awhile ago but I couldn't get pics up and the whole thing turned into one big mess, so I'll start clean.

FS: 1988 Mazda MX-6 GT

This car has been rated with 190lbs/ft of torque and 144hp from the factory. I just drove it out to Castle Falls for a camping trip and it handles very good on the highway. It has 251'XXXkms.

The good:
- brand new rear tires as of 2 months ago, installed and balanced at canadian tire
- rebuild rear caliper with brand new seals
- hand made black shift boot and e-brake sleeve
- all new hose clamps (fixed boost leak)
- brand new pioneer speakers all around
- new Ractive muffler
- uncracked dash and clean interior

The bad:
- I found a rust spot, its about half the size of a hockey puck and it's not yet surfaced, it just bubbling. It's right below the passenger door.
- the front CV boot split, it could be replaced and the joint regreased, or it might need to replaced, still drives fine.
- rear struts are said to be "weak and should be replaced within the next 2 years" by AutoPro
- Throttle body boot has tiny split, can be patched with right material, only affects the car slightly above 5k rpm when the split opens. A new one can be taken from a ford probe, or can have one made from anyone who knows how to weld.

Other than that the car works perfectly and pulls really hard off the line.

Factory Options:
- 5 speed
- sunroof
- power windows
- power locks
- a/c
- power steering
- power brakes
- auto adjusting suspension (AAS)
- digital guage cluster
- this car has every single option available from the dealer for 1988, as it was bought on employee discount.

Any questions pm me or just ask. **I do have the inspection sheet done recently at AutoPro just last month**

I posted this for sale at $3500 but I need a winter beater, this being my first winter on the road I don't want to risk wrecking a car that has been maintained so well over the years. So for right now I'm asking $3250 OBO.

I am located in Medicine Hat, but if you are willing to put a deposit on the car I will drive to Calgary to deliver the car.

**edit** I forgot to mention that this car is stock turbocharged and intercooled. As well I will entertain trades for a winter beater plus cash, or anything else you think is decent.

No one wants a turbo'd car with the bullet proof F2T? I've got numbers from people who have put on a $10 boost controller, a $30 boost guage and ran 11.5psi and got numbers like 165hp and 215lbs/ft torque. It's very east to get horsepower out of these.

Someone buy this car, they're tonnes of fun. I own a 626 GT (4 door version of the mx6) with a boost controller and some other goodies, and it goes "pretty quick" :D
These engines can take 12 lbs of boost without problems or up to 16lbs with a chip!
And no, I'm not a friend of the seller, I just love the F2T

Alright, here goes. I got a speeding ticket the second day of owning this car, I'm 2 months behind on my insurance and I just got a phone bill that raped me in the ass. I need the money ASAP!

I will let it go for $3'000!!! It has a burnt out headlight and tailight and the dash rattles. I will fix all the minor details before I sell the car!!

If you put a deck in this car it will thump, it has 130w pioneer speakers all around put in less than a month ago. I also painted all the black trim because it was chipped and it bothered me. Looks good now

$3'000!!

The F2T has been called the "red-headed step child" by SCC only because it's so hard to come by but when people put effort into them they can easy hit 300hp on a stock bottom end, just a put on a bigger turbo and ugrade the fuel

*a $10 boost controller for this car is the best doller per horsepower mod on the market*

 I don't really need $3k worth of parts, but thanks for the offer. I have the same car, same colour, except with 4WS. I need a new front bumper cover, and some window switches.

Bump for a fun car.

Someone has to want this car!!! I'm taking a hit, seeing as I bought it for this much, then put on a muffler, headlights, shift boot, rear tires, hose clamps, fixed the windows, and cleaned it up!!!!

 someone must want this for a daily driver or a turbo project!:whipped:

Today I fixed every single little thing I could find wrong with this car. I realigned the hood because the gaps were off, I tightened the trunk lid because it rattled, I put the screws back into the glove box, polished the interior, and even added fresh mountain scent! anyway... bump.

You guys obviously dont understand how clean this car is. It has the owners manual still in the car. It still has the original owner's factory warranty papers in the dealship plastic protector. Who wants more pictures?!

Do you have picture of the engine? I am tempted, but I have 2 cars already...

hollywood_35
09-09-2005, 05:26 PM
you bet I do, believe it or not it's dirty in the pictures, I waxed it, and  it shines. Does no one want a virtually rust free car that is as clean as donny osmand's criminal record?!?

hollywood_35
09-10-2005, 04:19 PM
come on, this is the cheapest car you will get that is so clean and fully loaded. It has fresh paint and luckily I made it into the garage and it didnt get raped by that hail storm that wrote off all cars under $3'000. This has no dents, no rust, it's fully loaded, and it's fast. Is there anyone sain out there?

hollywood_35
09-11-2005, 11:04 PM
Well, here it is. First $2'000 takes it, I cracked the front passenget signal light when I bumped into a lamp post. Not too bad, the buyer saves $500 for it. Come on $2'000. Someone come get it.

Penguin_Racecar
09-12-2005, 03:10 PM
try posting it on mx6.com in the Canada buy/sell or Western Canada forum as well. $2k is a pretty amazing deal so it may sell on there.

hollywood_35
09-13-2005, 04:49 PM
I did, no one wants a rust free car for $2'000. I just dont get it, even as a winter car, fully loaded, good heater, a/c...

hollywood_35
09-17-2005, 04:33 PM
If you come get it by monday I'll let you take it for $1800. The guy with my new car has my nuts in a vice and this thing has to go as soon as possible. I challenge you to find a more reliable car for this much.

$1800!!!
