I went to the Midas for repair coolant pipe today.
and I knew where is coolant reaking out.
I told it them, and they gave me a price....
the price is,,,$400 Holly shit they are taking too much money.

I was like $400 for replacing one pipe!?

But you know,,,I had no choice to fix it. cuz couldn't run anymore.....
(coolant was all gone and it is like 5 min to get over heat)

Midas,,,,watta....

Where u guys repair ur cars usually in Lethbridge??
is there any good garage in here?

Oh yeah last night I saw Skyline when I was driving room mates car(green sunfire with GT wing)

Yeah, I'm not aware of any coolant "pipes" that would warrent such a cost.

Sounds like a hose to me, easily replaced and a cheap part; sounds like he got taken, unless something was fixed that I'm not familiar with.

Hey now Tyler, let's not be mean. He is a new member, and he is Japanese, so we can't expect his English to be as proficient as everyone else. :)

Too bad you had to go to Midas. You probably might have wanted to phone some places first, but your situation made it difficult.

OK,,today I picked up my car and I asked them where did they fixed.....
Now I know why they took $400 for replacing pipe.

the cracked pipe was attatching to heater core. so they replaced the pipe and heter core.

Uh, I think heter core replacing was not neccessory...lol

I need my garage,,,seriously...
If i replaced only "pipe" by myself. the const was like $20...

Everyone, If I made a mistake with English, please let me know.
cuz my English is,,,,just sucks. lol

your english will get better over time, just stop using so many damn commas (,,,,,,,,,, <-- NO!)

atleast your heater core got replaced now, better now than never, but it probably didn't need replacing.

if the heater core was cracked you almost have to relace it, all the $$$ probably came from the labour/time it took to take your dash apart to get to the damn thing.

I saw the old heter core, it is looks like new. lol
I had no words when I saw it.
only the pipe which connect to heter core was cracked.

uh, funny. lol

Ok, I'll stop to using ",,,,"!! lol
kinda my habit, sorry.

and yeah, they told me that they took the dash.
So maybe, that was even??

actually my heter was getting weak so, I hope that is even.
I need to think positive way! lol

what is the "vert door"??
like a suiside door or something??

94SSEi
09-06-2005, 11:56 AM
No, suicide doors open up facing towards the front of the car. (IE the hinges are at the back of the door, towards the rear.)

Vert doors are what are in the pics up there, they go "up" towards the roof when they open, jusy look at the pics there.

Remove one bolt and realease the tension on the belt, remove the other mounting bolt and the wiring harness and remove the alternator, you might need an extra set of hands getting it back in because you have to stretch the belt a little. After that remove the circular fan shroud and the fan itself.

I also would like to find an honest and good mechanic in Lethbridge to do repairs on my daughters car. I am a mechanic in montreal Qc. Thanks. Gerry
