Hey,

Does anyone here have glaucoma? I'm only 15...but I might be developing it (doing a couple tests later this week) if worst comes to worst, how much does the surgery cost? Do you still have to take eyedrops after the surgery?

The costs should be covered by Alberta Health Care.

Sweet! Thanks...i'm reeaaalllyy glad we're catching it early then, I was scared shitless about how much it'd cost me every 5 years though hahaha.

Yes, the surgery cost should be covered because it's a medical condition that needs correcting (i.e. it's not elective). As far as the eyedrops go, that's probably the only cost out of your pocket and this is most likely covered by your parents' company health plan so you pay little or nothing.

Ah, dad owns his own company..i'm not worried about the costs for any of this stuff right now since my parents would pay, but I definately don't want to ask them for handouts in the future....so hopefully the company I work fors plan will cover it (or if I take over the family business money wouldnt be a problem anyways)
